I've been using mach for the last 3 years and need millturn support so purchased the professional version. All installs went fine. Hardware works in both mill and mill turn mode. Only problem is my 160 tools in the tool table are gone. I backed up my original mach 3 folder. I'm guessing the install overwrote my tool library. Is there a file I can copy from my backup restore the tool table/offsets ?.
Hi,
Mach stores it's tool table in an internal memory file. it disappears unless you tell mach to save the tool table (in MSM this is via the "dave mach TT" button on the tooling page). The lack of control over the TT is why MSM has the "save . restore TT to/from file" facilities. However, those are not part of the free personal edition.
I don't know a quick way to get the old mach tool table back.
I suppose you could copy all the files back and starting mach w/o MSM to see if you get the table back. then print or copy the tool table info for re-entry after going back to MSM.

Whoops, brain fade got me.... I am modifying the prior post...
Go find tools3.dat from your backup and copy it back to the mach dir. That is the Mach tool table file.
For info re how the mach tool table relates to the MSM tool files, please see the diagram in item 7.25 of the MSM release notes.
