2.1.4 Beta testing

I've got it set up so that I can swap between the previous release and 2.1.4 and will do some probing testing this weekend.

Thanks! So far it's been going OK (at least for me and two others that I know of) - a challenge is that I tend not to hear when things are fine, so I can be hard for me to tell "all's well" from "no one tried it".
This beta release is a bit of a harder sell as there are no new functions to entice people to give it a go.

I guess I fall into that category. All has been well since we figured out my particular problem.

I'm am happy to say I have nothing to report so far. I ran through all the probing sets today and everything worked as expected. I did not use the probing routines as part of running a part today and will do that next weekend.

I think I may have found one yesterday or it may be working as intended. I was probing a hole to set up the boring head and it appears the Z zero was not set after the probing completed as I crashed the head into the part after measuring the boring bar via the touch plate. The reason I am not sure if this us a bug or if it was functioning as intended is related to the options I had set while probing. I used the down and over hole probing routine but had the First Z and Last Z options both enabled. My brain says that when both are selected that the routine waits for the last Z measurement before setting Z zero. Obviously with the down and over probing the routine does not return to the Z surface a second time to probe again for the last Z option. Can you confirm my thoughts.

I am on 2.2.1 by the way. This is not specifically related to the testing of 2.1.4.

I'll try to check this.... but I am afraid it won't be right away as I'm away from the office and shop tomorrow.
