Hi
I have an issue with my current MSM interface. When I use the machine mostly all the time some interface button are flickering. Example when I jogging I set CONT button on and depending of time it stay on many minutes or few times it stay on few seconds. I need to put is on again manually. My other similar issue that causing me more problem if when I run a program I start the spindle manually before pushing play but some time for mostly no reason the spindle stop but the program continue running. When it stopped it gives no error. Is some one have idea where this problem may coming from.
Thank you

Hi,
I have never seen that type of symptom... so all I can do is make some educated guesses....
1) Are you running anything besides mach and MSM on this PC?
I am thinking that a background process could be using up most of the processing power - that could make Mach's (and thus MSM's) timing become slow.
mach and MSM use background process that run every 100ms and if they can not get CPU time, I could imagine a "slow response" symptom to screen button updates.
2) run a good virus scan on the machine - an infection could also be using up the CPU.
3) reinstall Mach and then MSM. This is the "I don't know what it is, but it may help" approach.
4) Also reinstall any software supporting whatever motion device you are using.

The computer I use for running MACH3 and MSM is fully dedicated and run no other software. It is not a big machine but it runs like that since the beginning. Also this computer is not connected to any network (no wifi, no cable)
2) run a good virus scan on the machine - an infection could also be using up the CPU.
I will be surprise it is caused by a virus because the computer is not connected on the internet
3) reinstall Mach and then MSM. This is the "I don't know what it is, but it may help" approach.
Yes I know it is a way but I would like to see other possibilities before doing that
4) Also reinstall any software supporting whatever motion device you are using.
It will be only MACH3 and MSM
I will try to take a video of the screen to show an example of flickering behavior

Since the PC has always had this type of problem, I would suggest trying a different PC.
