Tool change position internal error (HELP!!!!)

Post by woffler »

Hi Dave ,things are not going so well this morning! i had to adjust my steps a little in my x axis and all hell broke loose!
.MSM PRO.# VER.2.0.6 Mach version # R3.043.066
Using master tool mode with probe ,probe tool # 250 with touch plate

Here is what i did, i adjusted step's accordingly to measurement on x axis.
I then then changed the tool tcp location on the tooling page, these are the readings from the tool change position DRO,X15.1986,Y2.009,Z -12.5546
The M-CORD DRo Read's X 0,Y0, Z-5.2338 if you enter in a M6 T#250 it will drive the probe right threw the mill table ! it will not make the required X or Y move first just a maxiium speed rapid of th e Z axis to the TABLE and beyond .

It will also do it from the gcode file ,i got several error messages as i jumped for the E stop Button,i could not recover the first it said something like internal error line 127 unexpected error , and i got this one to when i tried to recreate it M6 unexpected error trap.

As of now, i am down and can not get out of this state ,i tried a reboot of Mach and and MSM no luck still keep's doing it any idea's

I have a little more information ,i was able to finally capture the other error message ,Error on line:1023-internal error <move to tool change position> but i think this is from me hitting the reset button when it run's away.
I am still trapped in this and can not get out of the current state after a complete power shut down and reboot.
I forgot a little system information so here it is

Windows Xp 64 bit
Shuttle pro plugin
Parralell port to BOB
If there is anything i can assist you with please let me know .

ThankYou, Dusty

Hi Dave ,i finally got out of it by changing the tool TCP setting again ,moved it in X and Y about .25 and Z to -1.0 and it seem's to like that.
I can not figure out why it was doing this ,it should always make a X,Y, and then Z - move first instead of a rapid Z move straight down .

Hi,
I was just reading your posts, and you've figured it out before I got to the end... that was an easy one for me ;)
Don't feel bad, we've all had experiences where those darn computers do what we said instead of what we intended! :)
