Touch Plate Not Found

Hi Dave. Quick Question.

I moved my TCP lower by a inch or so and now when I put in a short bit and do a tool change MSM almost gets to the touch plate before giving up and deciding it cannot find it. I can lower it down that far by jogging so I am pretty sure it's not a mach3 soft limit issue. I have no limit switch set on the minimum Z setting. The soft limit is set to -6. Longer bits work just fine.

I have the max Z on the probe screen set to 10 and it seems to stop right around a Z of -5. Before I moved it, the TCP was at a Z of -4.

Hi,
Got to the Settings Common page and look in the upper right area: There is a DROlabeled "max Distance" - I'm betting that it's just a tad to short to get to the TCP now that you moved it. No problem just increase the current value by how much you moved the TCP and then I suspect you'll be in good shape.

Don't for get to recalibrate the Z height of the TCP now that you moved it so that you'll get correct TLO measurement (Set TCP TP MCz button).

Perfect. That was exactly it.

Thanks Dave.
