MDI being ignored after Homing, Tool Change, or Park (G28)

Post by Analias »

I have noticed a problem with Mach3 or MSM, I'm not sure which. When ever I perform a reference all axis when homing, a manual tool change, or executing a G28 (park) command the MDIs don't want to respond input until I force a reset. Some times it can be very persistent and a reset doesn't clear it. When the G28 is executed, the only way I have been able to make the MDIs responsive is to hit the "Goto Zero" button. After that, I can execute G1 commands but not G0 commands. Any ideas?

Hi,
hum, I've not seen this symptom before. I could use some more info:
mach version?
win version?
win 32 or 634 bit?
motion device (PP or smooth stepper or ?)?

1) to isolate MSM vs mach, try the same test using the 1024 screen set. If it fails with 1024, it's most likely a mach bug.

Is there a test case that will reliably make the bug happen ?

FYI, I am traveling his week so I'm out of the shop and don't have the ability to test for things directly until next week.
